Weigand portal configuration
Updated
by Joe Julian
In the Device & Access Manager web portal, navigate to the device you wish to configure to read, then in the side bar that appears choose Prox Device.
A new section External readers will be visible at the bottom of the side bar. The first drop-down menu Reader type will allow you to select the type of external reader connected to the T2. The existing Third Millennium reader can be selected from this list, as can the new types of Wiegand reader – Wiegand Generic, Wiegand Hexadecimal, Wiegand Alphanumeric and Wiegand 36-bit.

The specific options for each new reader type are described in the dedicated sections below in this document.
There is also a new option to allow the success and failure LEDs on the reader to be illuminated when a card read is processed. There is no configuration required for these LEDs, they must be wired to the T2 as described in the following section.
