Mobile Clocking Feature

What is Mobile Clocking
A mobile clocking is when a User makes a clocking at a Smart Biometric Clock using a mobile application on their mobile phone. The mobile phone is placed next to the clock’s scanner in the same way as any other proximity device.
Pre-Requisites/Assumptions
- The business must have Single sign on enabled.
- The following builds are required
- Firmware version 2.10.0 and above
- T&A version 8.44 and above
- NFC clocking option must be enabled in T&A
How to get access to Mobile Clocking
Download the OneAdvanced People Mobile app
Either scan the relevant QR code with your phones camera, or click the button below to go directly to the app store. Alternatively just open your phones app store and search for "OneAdvanced People"

Mobile Clocking Set up
Once the pre-requisites have been met the mobile app needs to be installed and options set in Device and Access Manager.
Installing the application
Download the application and log in.

Once logged in the app will show the Home screen when it is opened. If it does not show that mobile clocking is enabled, you need to ensure that the NFC clocking option is enabled in T&A.

If you have NFC disabled on your device, you will see a warning message. If you select ‘Go to settings it will take you to your phone settings where you can enable NFC.

Setting up mobile clocking options in Device and Access Manager
To set up the authentication method for a Smart Biometric Clock select the ⋮ on the clock that you want to enable the option on (Sites > “Select a business location” > ⋮)

If Auto select clocking direction is required for mobile clocking select the Phone tab in settings and Toggle on Auto detect clocking direction.

In User details ensure that the Phone option is selected for Authentication.

Pairing a phone to a Smart Biometric Clock
Pairing a phone to a clock is done by enrolling on a clock as you would with a proximity device.
On the Smart Biometric Clock select Enrol button on the Home screen and log in using the Enrolment PIN. Go through the enrolment screens until you get to the method options.
When you select Phone, it will take you to the Manage phone screen which has the option to register a phone.

Once the phone details have been stored the details can be viewed in User details.

Mobile Clocking on the Smart Biometric Clock
Open the People mobile app on your phone and check that mobile clocking is enabled. If toggle clocking is enabled on the terminal, then you just need to place your phone against the terminal in the bottom right where the proximity device icon is displayed. Alternatively select the clocking direction from the home screen.
The mobile app will say that a signal was sent successfully and details of the clocking will be displayed on the terminal and in the mobile app.
