Connecting a Weigand reader to the T2

To connect an external reader to the T2, the T2 must be fitted with the Access Control PCB. Please contact OneAdvanced if you require an existing T2 to be fitted with an Access Control PCB.

The Wiegand reader should be connected to the READER connection block on the Access Control PCB, highlighted in red in the image below.

The wiring labels on the reader will typically match the labels printed on the PCB, connect each wire to the corresponding screw terminal on the PCB.

If connecting success and failure indicator LEDs on the reader, these must be wired into the digital output connections DO1 for success and DO2 for failure, as shown by the green and red arrows in the image above. If you only want to use a single LED, you can wire up only one of these.
