Updates to Device checks
What have we done?
Following recent Microsoft outages we have made changes to the device checks to ensure that the devices are not deactivated.
Why have we done this?
We have made these changes to avoid any user disruption should there be any Microsoft outages in the future.
How will you benefit?
End users will not see any difference in the day to day running of the Smart Biometric Clocks.
Details of the change
Extra checks have been added to ensure that the device is valid before deactivating. This will prevent the devices from deactivating in any future scenario where the Microsoft service is impacted and our devices are unable to connect.
Security updates
What have we done?
Following our annual penetration testing we have resolved any identified potential vulnerabilities.
Why have we done this?
To ensure that our hardware devices remain up to date and address any potential security vulnerabilities.
How will you benefit?
End users will not see any difference in the day to day running of the Smart Biometric Clocks.
Wake on Movement in use Turnstile feature
What have we done?
We have made changes to the wake on movement functionality to support when in use with turnstiles.
Why have we done this?
These changes ensure consistency between devices and devices when in use on turnstiles.
How will you benefit?
A consistent user experience across different device configurations.
External card readers in use Turnstile feature
What have we done?
Ensure that only one transaction is passed when using turnstiles with Smart Biometric Clocks and External Readers.
Why have we done this?
Duplicate records were being created where external readers were in use with turnstiles.
How will you benefit?
Fire Alarm interface and Clocking Analysis will no longer show duplicate records in these scenarios.
UI Updates
What have we done?
We have updated the contact numbers displayed on the User Interface.
Why have we done this?
Maintaining and open line of communication with our customers.
How will you benefit?
Up to date contact details for One Advanced can be accessed directly from the device UI.
