Supplied Parts

  • 12V UPS
  • 12V 7Ah sealed lead acid battery
  • IEC mains cable
  • Wireable IEC C13 connector
  • Wall fixings
  • Drill template
  • UPS keys

Required Parts

  • 22 AWG (or thicker) cable, minimum 2 core cable
  • Cable gland

Installation Steps

The UPS should be installed indoors in a well-ventilated area and out of direct sunlight. It should be wall mounted with a maximum cable run of 10m away to the T2 Terminal.

1. Using the supplied UPS drill template, follow the instructions to secure the UPS to the wall

2.     Drill through the side of the UPS at the knockout, to be able to feed the cable through. Fit a cable gland in this position

3.     Cut the cable down to the required length (maximum 10m). Feed the cable through the cable gland and screw in the wires to the terminal lock. Also screw in the wires at the other end of the cable to the T2 terminal. If required secure with cable trunking or conduit

4.     Insert the battery into the UPS with the text facing outwards. Connect the battery wires (inside of the UPS) to the terminals of the battery

5.     If using the IEC connector with wires directly from the mains, ensure the mains is isolated before proceeding. Screw the wires into the connector

6.     Connect the IEC cable

7.     Turn on the UPS, and open it, ensure that the VOLTAGE_ADJ potentiometer is turned fully anticlockwise

Using the UPS with the T2

When the UPS is operational it will power the T2. For normal operation the UPS will be powered from the mains, however when mains power is not available the UPS will seamlessly change to running off battery power for the T2.

The UPS has 3 LEDs on the front of the unit to indicate power statuses

·       Red LED – Indicates that the UPS is running off mains power

·       Green LED – Indicates that the 12V DC output is available

·       Yellow LED – Indicates that the UPS is running off battery power

Disposal/End of Life

The battery supplied with the UPS has a lifespan of between 3 to 5 years. At the end of life, the owner is legally responsible to dispose of the product according to WEEE laws.
