Portal Release notes - 5th November 2025

Louise Whalley Updated by Louise Whalley

This page outlines the new functionality and changes included in the Portal update available on Wednesday 5th November 2025

User enrolment PINS available in Time & Attendance

What have we done?

We allow the user PINS for enrolment on Smart Biometric Clocks to be viewed from Time and Attendance or Device and access Manager.

Why have we done this?

To improve the user journey by allowing the PIN to be accessed in T&A or the Device and Access Manager web portal.

How will you benefit?

This change reduces the need to navigate two systems when creating and enrolling a new employee at the Smart Biometric Clock.

Details of the change

The User enrolment PINS have previously been made available in the Device and Access Manager Web Portal, this information is now passed into Time & Attendance using the field TMSEMP.DeviceEnrolPIN.

This field will need to be manually added to any panels they are required on, and visibility set for the users and employees as required.

There will be a Device and Access Manager Web Portal release to support this change scheduled for 5th November, along with an upgrade to PeopleConnect.

There is also a new option on the Tools menu to allow User PINS to be resent to integrated systems such as Time & Attendance, this action will populate the PINS for existing employees in Time & Attendance.

In order to adopt this new functionality, Time & Attendance will need to be upgraded to Release 8.46.0 or later, release notes can be found here, along with an upgrade to PeopleConnect to version 20251028

Forced Turnstile alerts

What have we done?

We have updated PeopleConnect to ensure that forced turnstile alerts are captured and recorded, these were previously only being captured in Device & Access Manager.

Why have we done this?

To ensure that the T&A Access Monitoring log was being updated correctly.

How will you benefit?

The alerts are now being passed via PeopleConnect and captured in the Access Monitoring Log.

Details of the change

The forced turnstile alerts are now passed into the T&A access Monitoring log using the default code defined as 'D'.

There will be a PeopleConnect release to support this change scheduled for 5th November.
