Updated
by Louise Whalley
This page outlines the new functionality included in the Portal update available on Wednesday 4th June 2025
Mobile clocking with the OneAdvanced People App
What have we done?
This update lets employees clock in or out directly from their personal Android or iOS devices, eliminating the need for RFID cards or storing biometrics in the cloud. Employees can use the biometrics stored on their own mobile device to login to the People app, allowing for a seamless and secure experience, whilst giving them more control over their personal data.
Why have we done this?
To extend our current device authentication offering to include Android and IOS devices.
How will you benefit?
This change will allow users an increased flexibility around their data storage and clocking methods with our devices.
Details of the change
Full feature documentation can be found here
Update Character minimum requirements for Activities
What have we done?
This change will allow users to create Activities with a minimum of a single character.
Why have we done this?
Following changes from a recent security test, the minimum restrictions were increased across a number of fields, these have now been review and relaxed for Activities.
How will you benefit?
Users will be able to create and maintain activity imports with a minimum value of a single character for an activity.
Details of the change
The Activity name in the import data has now been updated to a minimum of a single character, full documentation for this feature is available here.
Update to Pendo API Key
What have we done?
We have updated the API Key for Pendo Analytics against Device and Access Manager.
Why have we done this?
We have done this to ensure that all People Products utilise the same Pendo Analytics subscription.
How will you benefit?
Users will not see any difference.
Details of the change
The API Key required for Pendo has been updated, this is the same API Key used by all People Products and the end user will not see any change.
